R. Oliver Mair - Consul General of Jamaica, Miami

Welcome. You Are Home.

Our Jamaica has always punched above its weight. Small island. BIG heart. Outsized impact on the world, in music, sports, culture, entertainment and the enduring spirit of our people. We have never doubted their own greatness. We likkle but we tallawah.

It is my honour serving as your Consul General, leading this Mission that stretches across thirteen (13) Southern United States. This is a charge I hold sacred.

People do not come to us with paperwork. They come to us with their lives. They are the grandmother in Georgia, awaiting a birth certificate that will set her affairs in order. The retiree in Florida, ensuring the pension benefits she rightfully earned are properly facilitated. The family in Texas facing an emergency, for whom a travel document is not a formality but a lifeline. The scholar, investor and the first-time visitor alike, seeking guidance on what Jamaica requires and what Jamaica offers.

This Consulate is your advocate, your resource, and your bridge. Our mission is the promotion and protection of the interests and welfare of Jamaicans visiting and residing in this region. We extend that same spirit of welcome to those seeking to visit Jamaica for scholarly, charitable, or leisure purposes. Whatever brings you here, you will find a team committed to delivering a warm, courteous service with the dignity every person deserves.

Our island Jamaica has given the world more than we can count. Consider this our promise and our commitment - to show up for you, fully and faithfully, with that unmistakable Jamaican warmth that has travelled every corner of this earth and never once needed a translation.

One Love!

R. Oliver Mair
